Cost Accounting Analyst

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Cost Analyst/Accountant to join our Supply Chain Finance team. In this role you’ll gain hands-on experience in cost accounting, financial analysis, and operational reporting while supporting the company’s financial outcomes and strategic goals. Essential Functions

a. Cost Accounting

• Partner with Supply Chain business owners and cross functional teams to develop and maintain accurate standard costs across a multi-product, multi-site manufacturing network

• Perform ongoing maintenance and updates of standard cost data in the ERP costing module to ensure accurate product COGS and inventory transactions

• Work with Sales and Channel Finance teams to provide quarterly product cost updates for licensed partnerships and royalty businesses

• Support month-end and year-end close activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analysis

• Support internal and external audit requests as needed

b. Reporting and Analysis

• Assist in preparing budgets, forecasts, and standard cost updates throughout the annual planning cycle

• Monitor production, labor, and overhead cost variances to identify trends or discrepancies

• Partner with sourcing and co-manufacturing teams to understand actual v. plan performance

c. Process Improvement

• Contribute to the ongoing improvement of our cost accounting methodologies and systems.

• Performs special projects, ad-hoc reporting, and other duties as assigned.

Baseline Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• Strong analytical skills with a high level of attention to detail.

• Strong Microsoft Excel proficiency, including ability to perform basic suite of Lookup formulas and reconcile large datasets for analysis

• Self-starter with a solution-oriented mindset

• Excellent organizational and time management skills.

• Strong communication skills to explain financial and accounting concepts to non-finance stakeholders.

Preferred Skills

• 1-3 years experience in accounting, finance, or manufacturing environments

• Basic knowledge of cost accounting principles (standard costing, variance analysis).

• Exposure to data visualization or business intelligence tools (MS PowerBI a plus)

• Familiarity with ERP systems (Dynamics 365 or SAP a plus)

The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include, as applicable, the applicant’s qualifications for the position; years of relevant experience; specific and unique skills; level of education attained; certifications or other professional licenses held; other legitimate, non-discriminatory business factors specific to the position; and the geographic location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will perform the job.
