The Job:

As a Corporate Technical Security professional, you’ll be part of our Corporate Security team working as an on-site employee. You’ll get to:

  • Plan, execute, monitor, control, and close projects using principles, methods, and standard techniques that are appropriate to the specific project.
  • Manage all electronic security projects (Access Control, Intrusion Detection, CCTV) and Life Safety Systems at SBD and ABD affiliate sites
  • Manage all electronic security projects (Access Control, Intrusion Detection, CCTV) and Life Safety Systems at SBD Executive and SBD Board Member’s personal Residences
  • Electronic Security and Life Safety System project point of contact for SBD site teams and Integrators awarded the projects
  • Develop sub-plans such as a communications plan, quality assurance plan, re-source plan, procurement plan, deployment plan, etc.
  • Identify, document, and prioritize project change requests and facilitate approval process. Re-plan as necessary based on changes.
  • Set and manage expectations with resource manager(s) and team member(s) regarding allocation to the project and performance expectations.
  • Ensure effective Quality Assurance/Quality Control mechanism are in place / adhered to.
  • Execute project closeout activities including turnover to appropriate operations teams.
  • Collaborate with other groups and departments directly to ensure a successful project.

  • Oversees the definition, execution, and delivery of project deliverables.

  • Submit requests for P.O.s and billing information as required

  • Assist with the data collection for the annual license/ ESSA renewals for all electronic security platforms (Lenel, ProWatch, MaxPro, Easy Lobby, etc) to ensure system growth.

  • Generate new techniques, ideas and solutions that can improve delivery quality, increase efficiency, and reduce costs. Identifies lessons learned and shares with internal Corporate Technical Security team.

  • Present a professional personal image

  • Support other groups as needs arise

  • Perform other duties as assigned

 

The Person:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • PMP or CSPM Certification
  • 5+ years of experience in a security industry or Project Manager related position
  • 5+ years demonstrated successful history of Project Management leadership including leading multiple simultaneous projects.
  • 5+ years of demonstrated skills in the application of Project Management fundamentals, methodologies, and tools.
  • 5+ years of basic understanding of CCTV Systems
  • 5+ years of basic understanding of Burglar Systems
  • 5+ years of basic understanding of Fire Alarm Systems
  • 5+ years of basic understanding of Network equipment
  • Ability to climb ladders and lift 10+ pounds
  • Strong organization skills, time management and attention to detail
  • Ability to interact with all levels of management and field resources
  • Strong leadership, problem solving, and conflict resolution skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment
  • Proficiency in scheduling with tools such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Visio
  • Ability to sit for long periods of time in front of a computer, stand, walk, handle, feel and reach with hands and arms
  • Can respond quickly to instructions in a noisy, fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication skills (Verbal and written)
  • Maintain safety and PPE standards
