Job summary

This is to provide a Portering service to the main Pharmacy at Musgrove Park Hospital. This is on every Saturday, Sunday and Bank Holidays. 

Main duties, tasks & skills required

The Pharmacists complete prescription requests from the Wards and these need to be hand delivered to the ward within set time frames. Some orders are large and use of the appropriate trolley will be required. Some deliveries will need a signature from the receiving Nurse.

Job description

To deliver all types of Pharmacy products across the Acute Hospital site of Musgrove Park. The items range from small tablet boxes to larger items such as medicinal feeds or fluids. This will require the use of the Pharmacy trolley to ensure compliance with manual handling procedures.
