Daily & Routine Responsibilities

  • Maintain detailed logs for all major equipment and systems across the campus (HVAC, life-safety systems, water heaters, generators, oxygen/suction systems, sewer pumps, landscape features, and more).
  • Conduct monthly facility walkthroughs to identify safety issues and maintenance needs.
  • Troubleshoot and perform repairs across the campus and regional offices.
  • Complete routine building, HVAC, electrical, and plumbing maintenance.
  • Assist with meeting and event setup and breakdown.
  • Support emergent housekeeping needs in collaboration with custodial vendors and facilities staff.
  • Maintain and repair custodial equipment.
  • Remove waste from grounds and clear snow/ice from walkways and driveways during inclement weather.
  • Carry an agency-provided phone and participate in after-hours/on-call rotation.
  • Protect patient confidentiality at all times.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

How You’ll Do It

  • We’re looking for someone who not only has the skills, but also embodies the values that define Transitions LifeCare.
  • Demonstrate professionalism, empathy, teamwork, and respect in every interaction.
  • Follow all organizational policies, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Deliver services in alignment with ACHC Standards and Medicare Conditions of Participation when applicable.
  • Comply with all relevant state and federal regulations.
  • Communicate concerns or potential risks promptly to your supervisor or management team.

What You Bring

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience in building, HVAC, electrical, and plumbing maintenance.
  • Maintenance experience in a medical facility preferred.
  • Experience with oxygen, generator, and sewage pumping systems preferred.
  • Completion of a skilled trade apprenticeship preferred.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to coordinate warranty issues with vendors and internal staff.
  • Sensory abilities sufficient for communication and documentation.
  • Ability to lift 50+ pounds.
  • Ability to safely climb and use ladders.

Why This Role Matters
Every repair you make, every system you maintain, and every safety issue you prevent directly supports our mission of providing compassionate, high-quality care. If you’re someone who likes to solve problems, stay busy, and make a meaningful impact behind the scenes, you’ll feel right at home here.
