Senior Software Engineer (C/C++)

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will develop systems to translate cutting-edge machine learning into complex trading behaviors. This role focuses on the development of low-latency, extremely high performance trading systems. A passion for low-level machine architecture, as well as interest in mastering trading microstructure, are a must.

Responsibilities

• Develop real-time trading systems as a contributor within a highly-skilled and ambitious team.
• Acquire significant domain knowledge on financial trading and quantitive research and collaborate on multidisciplinary projects. 
• Define, scope, and drive complex, uncertain high-stakes projects with a significant degree of independence.
• Implement rigorous and comprehensive tests and associated automation to ensure the reliability of distributed production systems.
• Offer technical leadership and guidance to junior engineering staff. 

Requirements

• Expert knowledge and significant experience in a majority of the following areas: 1) advanced C/C++ programming, compilers, and code generation tools; 2) computer architecture, performance optimization, and low-latency system design; 3) distributed systems and concurrent programming; 4) advanced UNIX systems programming and networking
• At least six years of related experience with increasing responsibility
• Demonstrated success in driving complex projects from inception to completion.
• A logical, methodical, meticulous, detail-oriented, and test-driven approach to software development.
• Experience with High Frequency Trading (HFT) a plus
• Genuine interest in trading and developing trading strategies (direct experience not required).
• Mathematical or quantitive science background (preferred).
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline.

The base salary range for this position is $180,000 to $230,000 in the location(s) of this posting. Individual salaries are determined through a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and geography. Base salary does not include other forms of total compensation such as bonus compensation and other benefits. Our benefits package includes medical, dental and vision coverage, life and AD&D insurance, 20 days of paid time off, 9 sick days, and a 401(k) plan with a company match.
