Senior Absence Management, Life & Disability Consultant
What can you expect?
- This role provides many aspects of expertise and support specific to evaluating, shaping and design of absence, paid time off, disability and life programs.
- Working in a team environment and contributing to overall client health and productivity strategies
- Common elements of this role include, overall client service delivery (related to LAD coverages), strategy, financial evaluations, renewal, business placement, time off transform, benchmarking, and other studies
- Ability to establish and participate in effective carrier/vendor relationships to serve clients in benefits procurement and administration (eligibility, claims, billing, plan implementation, contracts, plan changes and necessary amendments
- Provides mentoring and coaching to direct reports and project team members
- Connected to a broader leadership and strategy team

We will count on you to:
- Leads complex client engagements, including managing overall service delivery, strategy, financial evaluations, plan design, renewal, business placement, benchmarking and other studies
- Assists in the development of sophisticated benefits design and renewal strategies while driving the development of tools and solutions to address complex client issues
- Determines the full scope of services provided to the client and sets roles/responsibilities within the client team
- Is accountable for revenue/profitability for client accounts and projects
- Generates sales by expanding revenues from existing clients and by leading prospecting efforts with new clients
- Establishes effective carrier/vendor relationships to serve clients in benefits procurement and administration (eligibility, claims, billing, plan implementation, contracts, plan changes and necessary amendments
- Provides mentoring and coaching to direct reports and project team members
- Delegates effectively to provide developmental opportunities to team members
What you need to have:
- BA or BS
- Minimum 10 years of Life, Absence and Disability Insurance experience
- Experience managing a team, people management
- Experience with building and executing strategy within the client team
- Strong client facing skills within a consulting environment
- Strong communication skills – ability to deliver positive and negative messages, along with project transparency
- State Life/Health license
