Job Description
This role ensures maintenance scheduling and parts inventory/procurement is accurately and timely completed, to support real preventive maintenance and reduce breakdowns and downtime. The role contributes strategic execution of maintenance tasks, skills utilization and reduction of overtime.
Job Duties
- Utilizes SAP system for various activities that include
- planning maintenance work orders, proper usage and timely completion of work orders
- alert supervisor or lead of repeat issues regarding improper documentation and system usage.
- maintain backlog of planned and unplanned jobs.
- participate in the creation, entry and maintenance of PMs.
- develops and maintains equipment entity structure.
- Trains associates in the use of maintenance module.
- Maintains data used to track costs and labor for equipment maintenance.
- Creates and maintain inventory, including:
- Assigns new crib stock numbers to machine repair parts, machine maintenance parts on a minimum/maximum reorder system.
- Prevents number/item duplication. Inputs of all data using existing operating systems.
- Analyzes inventory movement, current lead times, and production requirements for planning and scheduling purposes.
- Maintains perpetual inventory system through proper planning, including usage, on-hand quantities, costs, economic order quantities, etc.
- Takes ownership of re-ordering and planning of inventory for respective area.
- Assists other Maintenance technicians and or TEF with setting up spare parts for new lines.
- Investigates, reduces or eliminates obsolete parts
- Ensures data integrity of Inventory reporting for costing, planning and obsolescence
- Assists in resolving problems with receiving, crib, finance, purchasing, etc.
- Support in initial spare part quoting and request of spare part setup on new equipment
- Inventory and reorder janitorial products/supplies for facilities. Coordinate distribution internally
- Monitor company uniforms program rental status, support MFO assignment/inventory.
- Establish and maintain an effective working relationship with customers and vendors; and maintain OEM and Vendor contact list.
- Schedules and plans, for:
- Weekly work schedule for PMs and planned work from work order backlog in coordination with MFO and FCM.
- Daily and weekly planning meetings related to maintenance.
- Planned downtime with manufacturing and maintenance to improve efficiency
- Improvements to PMs and planned maintenance activities based on feedback received from planned work orders.
