Senior Product Designer (m/f/d)

Job Description

As a SIXT Senior Product Designer, Design Systems (m/f/d) you will take ownership of developing our design system that drives coherent premium experience across our ecosystem of consumer products. You will work closely with diverse cross-functional teams and business stakeholders to deliver world-class components, patterns, and design documentation, ensuring features are built following best practices and grounded in design principles. Together with the Director of Product Design, you will advocate internally for the Design System, and be the key driver for future strategic Design System improvements. It is an exciting time at SIXT, as we are rebuilding and reshaping our product experience, ensuring that it reflects our brand values and exceeds our customers' expectations. Sounds interesting? DO WHAT YOU LOVE:

• You lead the development of the SIXT Design System, with the goal of making it public towards the end of 2024 
• You create highly detailed design specifications for each component, covering accessibility, interaction, and visual guidelines 
• You guide designers and developers on how to adopt new components into features by producing hands-on demos and presentations, as well as working 1:1 
• You know how to leverage user and product insights to influence changes and improvements to the SIXT Design System, building components that are intuitive and easy to use 
• You restructure Figma libraries to ensure they are complete and easy to use for designers and developers 

Qualifications

COME AS YOU ARE:

• You are a continuous learner in an ever-changing ecosystem of interactive pixels, striving for the highest possible quality of work 
• You have several years of experience working in product or service design, having worked in at least one design system team in the recent past 
• You have a strong technical understanding of design systems (preferably at scale) and experience with established industry software: Figma, Zeroheight, Storybook, Jira, Confluence, GitHub 
• You are proficient in Figma, incl. interactive prototyping, auto-layout, variants, variables, dev mode, and tokenizing 
• You have excellent English communication skills and a passion for sharing best practices and the latest trends with the rest of the team

About the department:
The goal of SIXT's design team is to design experiences that customers love. Our team includes UX Research, UX Writing and UX Design. UX Researchers generate insights into customer needs and help to evaluate new product ideas. UX Writers work closely with Designers to ensure inspiring, concise and consistent copywriting. The biggest group are our UX Designers, working in teams together with Product Management and Engineering to craft seamless and engaging mobility solutions for our customers.
