Senior Finance Analyst

     

JOB DESCRIPTION:

bbott is recruiting a Senior Financial Analyst for our Neuromodulation division, based in our HQ in Zaventem, Belgium. Our HQ team partners with regional commercial leaders to ensure financial compliance and drive improvements within the finance organization.

As a Senior Financial Analyst, you will:

• Participate in the preparation of financial plans and forecasts.

• Publish financial information related to historical, current, and future performance.

• Perform financial analysis and provide proposals to aid appropriate courses of action.

• Develop and deploy meaningful tools that support business analysis and decision-making.

• Operate independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities Include:

• Own the development of detailed financial models for forecasting, incorporating historic, trended, and current business information.

• Load and review financial forecasts quarterly into the Dodeca system.

• Monitor functional and departmental spending versus budget by highlighting material variances.

• Prepare and distribute financial reports with commentary on current performance.

• Prepare journal entries and manage the month-end close to ensure proper accounting at the functional and departmental level.

• Perform in-depth reviews and variance analysis of gross profit margin and advise on corrective actions to improve delivery of profit.

• Develop and utilize sound financial processes and tools, ensuring their maintenance.

• Ensure compliance with applicable Corporate and Divisional Policies and procedures.

• Assist with ad hoc requests and analysis, and act as a backup for the FP&A Manager.

Preferred Qualifications:

• University degree in Accounting/Finance/Economics preferred.

• Minimum of 3 years of relevant working experience in financial planning & analysis/controlling/audit department in an international company (industry knowledge is a plus).

• Fluent in English.

• Mindset of learning and growth to develop within the role.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, along with business acumen.

• Able to communicate financial information and models concisely and comprehensibly, targeted at different audiences.

• Independent, results-oriented, and able to perform in a dynamic environment.

• Good knowledge of MS Excel & PowerPoint required; knowledge of systems such as Dodeca, SAP, Power BI is a plus.
