JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a Provider Support Assistant to attend to multiple clerical duties while providing phone support as patients call the live call line. Support providers when external pathology slides are needed and make requests. Support the clinical staff and providers with various duties

 

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Medication prior authorizations and denial submissions, patient assistance forms.
  • Answering live call line: patient inquires, pharmacy questions.
  • Send messages to provider/staff via Epic.
  • Request outside pathology slides, send to path.
  • Place slide request order in Epic for pathology.
  • Sort faxes off fax machines (Olsen), right fax and distribute, retrieve and distribute mail.
  • Scan records in Solarity scan system.
  • Retrieve stock medication from Duke pharmacy, take and retrieve instruments to Central Sterile Supply.
  • Call outside medical facilities for records, coordinate care on upcoming visit.
  • Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein.

 

JOB ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

  • High school diploma or equivalent education required.
  • One-year experience of clerical or general office support required.

 

JOB HOURS

The schedule for this position is day shifts, Monday-Friday, with no weekends or holidays.
