Responsibilities
Millennium Corporation is hiring a Senior Project Manager in Fort Belvoir, VA. Qualified candidates must have at least an active Secret clearance with the eligibility to obtain a TS/SCI clearance. Must be PMP Certified.
- Manages, coordinates, and establishes priorities for complete life-cycle of Information Technology projects including the planning, design, programming, testing, and implementation of solutions designed to meet the project requirements.
- Designs project plans using industry project scheduling software e.g. Microsoft Project. Identification of needs and define major tasks and milestones, based on scope, resources, budget, and personnel.
- Recommends information technology strategies, policies, and procedures by evaluating organization outcomes, identifying problems, evaluating trends, and anticipating requirements.
- Determines project needs and acquires resources required for the success of the project. Tracks the status of all projects and manages escalations, project budgets, and reporting.
- Plans, directs, and coordinates activities of the team to design, process, project, develop, produce, improve, and test components, products, systems, and services, while achieving optimum use of workers, equipment, materials, and facilities.
- Creates and improves the delivery and results of programs/projects by developing program/project management, requirements management, and change management best practices, processes, tools, and techniques.
- Provide technical writing and editing support for command and public information publications. Develop command and public information materials for publication (e.g., magazines, brochures, mailers, etc.).
- Assist with strategic planning, policy, synchronization, migration planning, security planning. Demonstrate the ability to work effectively in a leadership-type role, ability to work independently with minimal supervision, and ability to proactively engage with and advise government and contractor support.
Qualifications
- Have an active Secret clearance with TS/SCI eligibility
- Have a PMP Certification
- 5+ years of relevant work experience in Customer Engagement
- Significant experience with Microsoft Project Scheduler
- Prior experience with GANTT Chart Implementation and Management
- Must display excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
- Prior military experience is highly desired
Business Development
Assist with Business Development activities as required to support Millennium's strategic business objectives, which may include but not limited to participation in technical interviews, creation of technical documentation, general proposal writing support and proposal color reviews.
Physical Requirements
- Must be comfortable with prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 10-15 pounds at a time.
