Job Description

Role Overview

The E2E CT, Control Tower (Level 108) oversees end‑to‑end visibility, exception management, and service‑performance execution primarily across North America, with secondary support for EMEA. This role leads the daily orchestration of transport flows, drives regional process improvements, and contributes to digital and analytics capabilities within the control tower.

The position partners cross‑functionally and with external logistics providers to ensure proactive issue resolution, enhance data quality, and strengthen operational resilience. This role may lead a small team of analysts or act as a senior individual contributor with significant operational ownership.

Key Responsibilities

Control Tower Operations & Regional Orchestration

  • Oversee day‑to‑day monitoring of transportation flows across North America; provide secondary support for EMEA.
  • Lead exception management, escalation processes, and service‑recovery actions to maintain OTD/OTIF performance.
  • Ensure accurate visibility across platforms (e.g., FourKites, Project44) and execute timely interventions when disruptions occur.
  • Conduct root‑cause analyses for recurring issues and coordinate corrective actions with carriers, 3PLs, and internal teams.
  • Own regional dashboards and KPI reporting, ensuring data accuracy and actionable insights.

Technology, Visibility & Analytics Enablement

  • Utilize visibility platforms, TMS/OTM, and ERP systems to maintain end‑to‑end shipment transparency.
  • Contribute to digital initiatives aimed at improving data quality, automating workflows, and enhancing platform usability.
  • Support implementation of predictive alerts, basic ML‑driven exception automation, and early‑warning mechanisms.
  • Assist the Logistics COE with technology enhancements, user acceptance testing, and continuous‑improvement projects.

Operational Excellence & Continuous Improvement

  • Lead small‑to‑medium regional improvement programs focused on cost, service, exception reduction, and process simplification.
  • Support advanced trend analysis, scenario modeling, and short‑term capacity planning activities.
  • Help improve SOPs, playbooks, and resilience frameworks to strengthen end‑to‑end performance.
  • Partner with carriers and 3PLs to improve scorecarding, compliance, and service outcomes.

Cross‑Functional Collaboration & Stakeholder Management

  • Work closely with transportation operations, procurement, demand planning, trade compliance, customer operations, and warehouse teams.
  • Serve as a key point of contact for visibility, issue resolution, and operational updates within the region.
  • Communicate performance and risk insights to leadership and clarify customer impacts and recovery plans.

Compliance & Sustainability Support

  • Ensure proper documentation accuracy for routine compliance, audit readiness, and transportation adherence requirements.
  • Support sustainability tracking (emissions data, mode optimization, waste reduction initiatives).

Team Leadership (Optional Based on Structure)

  • Lead a small team of analysts OR serve as a senior SME guiding junior team members.
  • Support skills development in visibility tools, analytics, exception management, and automation workflows.

Technical & Core Competencies
