AVP, Corporate Strategy

This role is office hybrid, based out of our Louisville, KY office.

What the Role Is

The AVP, Corporate Strategy will provide an objective voice to ensure our strategy anticipates changing market dynamics, responds to industry trends, and drives long-term profitable growth. This role reports directly to the CFO but supports and partners with the entire Executive Leadership Team and key partners across various business units and functions to drive enterprise-wide alignment to strategic priorities and organizational performance.

How You Will Spend Your Time?

• Lead process to formulate company-wide strategy by engaging a cross-functional team
• Influence and motivate multiple stakeholders with diverse perspectives
• Operationalize corporate strategy to ensure shared accountability for business performance and long-term growth
• Drive enterprise-wide understanding of and commitment to corporate strategy
• Develop and maintain strategic KPIs with recurring reporting of progress towards goals
• Manage, coach and develop direct reports: Manager of Strategic Planning
• Identify annual corporate initiatives that are vital to the accomplishment of strategic outcomes and collaborate with other department leaders to drive organizational performance against such initiatives
• Synthesize external market dynamics and industry trends to provide reports to ELT
• Collaborate on identification of risks/threats to strategic business objectives
• Analyze resource allocation and investment mix to optimize business objectives and strategy
• Monitor performance of minority-owned investments
• Prepare and maintain a long-range (five year) forecast of business results
• Lead M&A analysis and acquisition valuation
• Participate in Senior Leadership Team driving communication and collaboration among Sales, Marketing, Production, and Finance
• Manage preparation of ad-hoc reporting and/or other strategic projects

Who You Are…

• Bachelor’s Degree; MBA highly preferred
• Minimum of six (6) years’ experience in a senior strategy role, preferably in consumer goods industry
• Minimum of six (6) years’ experience in people and process leadership
• Demonstrated experience of profitable revenue growth management
• Experience working directly with Executives, maintaining a professional Executive presence
• Inspirational and motivational leader

Valued but not Required Skills and Experience:

• Master’s Degree in Business, Finance or related field
• Previous experience in the distilled spirits industry
