About the role

Job Description

The Systems Engineer supports our customers by resolving network issues, configuration requests, and recommending network improvements.  

Responsibilities:

  • Create and update customer requests in Connectwise
  • Monitor Connectwise service boards  
  • Respond and resolve Tier 1 customer requests 
  • Escalate difficult requests to Tier 3 engineers
  • Service basic application software and/or hardware support
  • Service servers, switches, routers, hubs, firewalls, and desktops devices 
  • Monitor and respond to network service alerts from our Techview monitoring system
  • Support basic desktop, laptop, software, and network requests
  • Install, configure, maintain basic network services, equipment, and devices
  • Support basic administration of servers and server clusters
  • Support user accounts, permissions, email, anti-virus, and anti-spam
  • Complete training courses and assignments as scheduled (including after hours and Saturdays)

Qualifications:

  • College Degree in IT or Computer Science 
  • Help desk or network admin experience is a plus but not required
  • Tier 1 – Network customer support 
  • MS Server, Active Directory, and Exchange support 
  • Small Business Server support 
  • Firewall support and maintenance 
  • Switch, router, and hub support and maintenance 
  • Customer service oriented
