The Impact You’ll Make in this Role
As Manager, Special Projects, Accounting and M&A, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:
Supporting current and future merger, acquisition and/or divestiture activities
Designing and implementing a settlement statement framework for current and future merger, acquisition and/or divestiture activities
Ensuring transaction level activity is being processed as expected
Coordinating the exchange and recording of invoices by the local team
Collaborating with Legal, Tax, Technical Accounting and Segment Finance on the financial impact and proper accounting treatment for transactions
Purchasing accounting preparation and pushing down to local teams
Supporting the business with integration activities
Participating in due diligence and working capital analysis
Setting up master data
Preparing journal entries
Your Skills and Expertise
To set you up for success in this role from day one, Solventum requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree or higher AND six (6) years of accounting and/or finance experience in a private, public, government or military environment
OR
High School Diploma/GED AND ten (10) years of accounting and/or finance experience in a private, public, government or military environment
Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
Master’s degree in finance, accounting or related degree
CPA and/or CMA
Experience with mergers, acquisitions or divestitures, and related purchase accounting
Knowledge and experience with ERP systems (Oracle, SAP, JDE)
Ability to work collaboratively across various functions
Financial acumen
Creative problem solving
Self-starter with ability to drive change
Verbal and written communication skills
Organization and prioritization skills
Work location:
Remote within the USA
Travel: May include up to 5% domestic
