About the role

Job Summary:  

The co-op student works with the Advanced Process Engineering team and with Program Management on the development and implementation of new production equipment at all Constellium’s manufacturing sites. This includes the evaluation, development, feasibility, design, cost estimation and preparation of ‘Statements of Work” (SOWs). This will also lead into appropriation requests and reviews of vendor bids and drawings. They also assist with production activities such as continuous improvement, maintenance, workshops, and production part approval process.


Responsibilities

  • Research and develop, select and implement, maintain and improve (to achieve) the most economic and efficient manufacturing processes
  • Ensure implementation of lean concepts in flow, layout and inventory plan
  • Ensure work place is in alignment with latest EHS, OHSAS, MIOSHA (and other applicable standards e.g. for robots) and ergonomic rules and guidelines
  • Knowledge of manufacturing technologies used in Constellium such as machining, forming and welding

Preferred:

  • Teamwork oriented with the ability to assist in cross-functional teams and projects to achieve desired results
  • Proficient in CAD (2D & 3D) software as well as Microsoft Office including Project and Visio
  • Strong mechanical background, with knowledge of fabrication methods a plus
  • Tool and die, forming, bending, trimming, and machining experience desired
  • Engineering major going into senior year

    • Intern offers are for Summer 2025 with a scheduled start date in May of 2025 ending in August 2025
    • Interns and co-ops will need to complete a background check, drug screen, and physical before starting employment with Constellium.
    • Interns and co-ops will turn in a copy of their transcript at the beginning of every new work term and or semester.
