Job Description
SIXT is in search of a dynamic Director of Corporate Security to lead the US and Canada security operations while maintaining the protection of our assets, employees, and facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Constructs and implements a physical security and loss/fraud prevention program and keeps up to date on relevant legislative changes and proposed bills to support or challenge
- Delivers and maintains a North America enterprise-wide portfolio of Security policies and SOPs and ensures adequate policy and procedure training is provided to associates
- Determines methods and solutions to proactively manage and reduce operational risk to the company’s assets, employees, and facilities, making security a differentiator in the market
- Establishes and maintains strong working relationships with Field Operations and internal HQ partners and provides key input regarding projects within other business segments
- Serves as main liaison between the company and all local, state, and federal law enforcement as well as prosecuting agencies and courts across the nation as well as the NICB
- Represents Sixt in criminal court proceedings as requested, often as expert witness, PMQ/PMK
- Develops, mentors, and motivates highly effective associates within the corporate security department, leveraging internal and external relationships and influence within the organization to ensure success
- Updates and produces necessary metrics related to overdue and stolen vehicles, fraud & security incidents
- Conducts internal and external in-depth criminal investigations and prepares summary investigative presentations for submission to law enforcement/prosecutors/internal partners
- Leads on-site internal and external audits from a security perspective
- Advises internal business partners on policy or applicable law and aids in unique loss situations
- Manages Regional CSEC, Vehicle Recovery and Critical Admin Support Teams.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Criminology, Criminal Justice, Security Management, Business or related field, and 10 years’ experience in security/fraud/risk management or minimum of 15 years law enforcement experience with concentration in criminal investigations
- Identity theft, auto theft, fraud investigation, skip tracing or related experience required
- Interview and interrogation techniques a plus
- Must be accessible 24 hours a day, seven days a week (“on call” status).
- Proficiency in MS Office applications, specifically Excel
- Ability to adapt to new computer programs with ease
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to present factual findings
- Exceptional interpersonal and decision making skills required
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to multi-task in an unstructured environment
- Must have a valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Must have the ability to adapt in a fast paced environment
- Some travel will be required
- Must be authorized to work in the United States and not require work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future.
