We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Hardware Security Architect to join our dynamic team. As a Hardware Security Architect, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining security measures for our hardware systems. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the integrity and confidentiality of our hardware components, protecting against potential threats and vulnerabilities. This role is ideal for individuals with a strong background in hardware security and a passion for staying abreast of the latest advancements in the field.
This role is Remote, based out of United States.
Responsibilities:
- Security Architecture Design: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and develop secure chip architectures. Analyze system requirements and design security features to safeguard against threats.
- Threat Modeling: Identify potential security threats and vulnerabilities in chip architectures, and conduct threat modeling to assess risks.
- Secure Protocols: Develop and implement secure communication protocols and encryption mechanisms to protect data and firmware.
- Security Verification: Perform security reviews, code analysis, and penetration testing to validate the security of chip architectures.
- Cryptographic Implementation: Design, implement, and evaluate cryptographic algorithms and mechanisms for data protection.
- Security Standards and Compliance: Ensure compliance with industry standards and security certifications, such as FIPS 140-3, ISO 21434 or Common Criteria.
- Vulnerability Management: Stay up-to-date with the latest security vulnerabilities and patches, and implement strategies for mitigating risks.
- Collaboration: Work closely with hardware and software teams to integrate security measures into chip designs and firmware.
- Security Documentation: Prepare comprehensive security documentation, including design specifications, threat models, and security assessments.
- Incident Response: Participate in incident response activities to address and mitigate security incidents or breaches.
Experience & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience in chip architecture security or embedded system security.
- Strong knowledge of security protocols, cryptography, and secure coding practices.
- Familiarity with industry standards and regulations related to chip security.
- Proficiency in programming languages like C/C++ and scripting languages.
- Knowledgeable with RTL coding standards
- Experience with security assessment tools and methodologies.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience with hardware security modules (HSMs) and secure element integration.
Compensation for all engineers at Tenstorrent ranges from $100k - $500k including base and variable compensation targets. Experience, skills, education, background and location all impact the actual offer made.
