Life Cycle Engineering (LCE) is responsible for ensuring our products are Safe, Reliable, Maintainable and delivered on time. Life Cycle Engineering consists of multiple disciplines that support engineering, our program offices and our customers. Our Life Cycle Engineering disciplines participate in the total life cycle of our products from conception to deactivation. Our focus area is product support, including the following disciplines: Reliability, System Safety, and Supportability.
What You Will Do:
As a Reliability, Maintainability & Testability Intern, your responsibilities will include the following:
- Support the program in the Failure Reporting and Corrective Action (FRACAS) process
- Support development of Built-In test (BIT),reliability/maintainability/testability and diagnostic associated requirements as required
- Help define failure modes and their effects on systems
- Collaborate with hardware/software design teams to identify and resolve non-conformances
This job is posted as ONSITE, and is based at Raytheon’s McKinney, TX facility.
Qualifications You Must Have:
- This position is for an intern who is enrolled in a Bachelor’s (or higher) in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering or Aerospace Engineering degree program
- Experience with troubleshooting technical issues with electronics in an academic or internship setting, or as part of a hobby
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Qualifications We Prefer:
- Experience or coursework in Systems Engineering
- Academic or internship experience that included hands-on testing of electronic equipment
- Exposure to data analysis using tools such as Microsoft Office, Python, MATLAB and/or C++
- Ability to analyze issues and define solutions
- Strong communication skills including effective written, verbal, and listening skills Self-starter with the ability to independently pursue information and solve problems
- Proven strong analytical skills and problem-solving abilities

The salary range for this role is 37,000 USD - 82,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
