Golin Chicago is hiring a temporary Director, Catalyst (Account Director). This freelance role is a key role within Golin and is responsible for developing and executing product campaigns for client brands. The Golin team supports these clients in launching new products, telling their stories, and planning/executing large scale events. In this freelance capacity, you will be responsible to develop and drive strategic and creative initiatives for clients and serve as a key contact for the client for conceptualizing and executing plans and actively collaborating as part of a team to deliver projects.

We are looking for someone to join us in a Freelance capacity and can commit to up to 20 hours per week starting in February. 

Our expertise ranges from brand-building and cutting-edge digital content, to corporate reputation, healthcare advocacy and measurement. Golin aligns earned-first, data-driven creative with the customer journey through our collaborative G4 Model to deliver maximum impact for clients. Our roster includes many of the largest CPG, retail, food, healthcare etc.

What You’ll Do: 

• Actively operate as a day-to-day client contact
• Develop comprehensive strategic integrated communication plans
• Provide client counsel on tactical matters linked to strategic plans
• Proactively generate new ideas and opportunities for the development of strategic client plans and assist with the creation of related budgets 
• Partner with key team members in the other G4 communities, including media, digital and creative specialists to develop and execute integrated campaigns that can work cross-channel 
• Manage campaigns to ensure operational excellence; ensure campaigns are well aligned to client brands and objectives
• Influencer program management

What You Have: 

• Bachelor's Degree in a related discipline
• 8+ years of PR agency or related professional communications experience
• Proven ability to develop work that is client-ready with minimal oversight 
• Experience managing budgets and resources 
• A collaborative spirit, results driven with the capacity to manage multiple priorities and work against deadlines 
• Excellent organizational and planning skills; able to work quickly under pressure, handling and prioritizing multiple assignments 
• Experience working on large consumer brands
• Experience managing and mentoring junior level team members  
• The ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment 
• Demonstrable experience leading large client projects 
• Excellent writing, copy-editing, and proof-reading skills 

Please note: This role is ideally located in Chicago, but we are open to considering qualified remote candidates in other locations.

Golin has included the base salary range or hourly rate for this role. Actual compensation offered within the range will depend upon, among other factors: a candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience; actual ranges for current or former employees in the role; and market considerations. Hourly rate: $110.
