Role

We are seeking a Lecturer in Accounting to join our team. You will deliver high-quality teaching and pastoral support to students enrolled in Accounting and Bookkeeping programmes (Levels 1, 2, and AAT Level 2), both during the day and in the evening.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a collaborative, innovative, and student-focused environment and is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of learners.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging and effective teaching across AAT programmes.
  • Develop and adapt teaching materials and assessments.
  • Provide constructive feedback and support student progression.
  • Maintain accurate records and contribute to quality assurance processes.
  • Participate in curriculum development and cross-college initiatives.
  • Build relationships with external partners and contribute to the college’s strategic goals.


Criteria

  • Level 3 or above in a business-related subject (including accountancy) or a professional qualification (ACCA, CIMA, AAT).
  • Cert Ed or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Level 2 English and Maths (or equivalent).
  • Strong communication skills and ability to engage diverse audiences.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Experience in delivering AAT programmes and providing pastoral support.
