Position Summary:
The Associate Director of Compliance Systems is responsible for designing, implementing, and continuously improving the organizational systems, tools, governance processes, and cross-functional operating practices that enable GLIDE to consistently meet contractual and grant compliance requirements. Rather than administering contracts or grants, this role builds the organizational  infrastructure that supports programmatic, finance, operations, and development and other teams in fulfilling their own compliance responsibilities while advancing organizational effectiveness.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    Compliance Systems & Infrastructure 
  • Support the CCIO to design, implement, and continuously improve the systems, tools, processes, and cross-functional coordination necessary for departments across GLIDE (Finance, Fund Development, Programs, Ops, HR, etc.) to effectively meet their compliance responsibilities.  
  • Build and maintain cross-system compliance dashboards, calendars, organizational compliance checklists, and other reporting tools to improve organizational visibility and accountability for contract/grant compliance requirements. 
  • Conduct and document biannual compliance assessments with the CCIO to build and improve compliant practices and culture across GLIDE 
  • Collaborate with the CCIO and compliance leads across departments (Finance, Fund Development, Programs, Operations, HR, etc.) to standardize compliance workflows, templates, checklists, toolkits, and documentation. 
  • Maintain centralized repositories for compliance documentation and institutional knowledge.
  • In collaboration with CCIO, Program leads, and staff, develop organizational readiness processes for contract audits and monitoring visits, as well as audit preparation tools (e.g. standardized audit checklists and timelines)
  • Surface emerging compliance risks and gaps at the organizational level and recommend process improvements.  
  • Cross-Functional Project Leadership 
  • Partner across departments and facilitate cross-functional working groups when necessary to foster shared accountability for compliance processes, establish clear divisions of labor, and ensure that compliance requirements are integrated into standard operations. 
  • Manage organizational change projects around compliance from planning through execution; effectively coordinate stakeholders, timelines, dependencies, and clear, goal-driven communication.
