Description:

Here at Saint Mary’s Hospital Hematology/Oncology Dept. you will be part of a multidisciplinary team to provide continuity of care throughout various stages of treatment and follow-up including, but not limited to: Laboratory, radiation therapy, genetics, clinical research, social work, and pharmacy.

What you will do

Practices safe administration of infusions, injections, and transfusions. Administers chemotherapy/Biotherapy, perform patient assessments, provides symptom management and patient and family education.

Minimum Qualifications

• Education: Graduate of an accredited college or university affiliated nursing program.  BSN graduates preferred.
• Licensure: Current Licensure as a Registered Nurse RN in Connecticut.
• Certification: BLS required. ONS Chemotherapy and Biotherapy card strongly preferred.

Additional Info:

• Scheduling patients for treatments and triaging of patient phone calls.
• Manage a caseload of patients receiving a variety of infusion therapies on an outpatient basis.
• Collaboration with referring physician offices to coordinate one time or ongoing therapies.
• Ability to multi-task efficiently and effectively while continuing to provide the safest, highest quality of care.
• Other duties as assigned.
