CNA - Surgery Center - Summer Employment (Limited Term)

Looking for summer employment and have an interest in healthcare?  Sauk Prairie Healthcare is recruiting students or others seeking limited-term employment.  Summer employment options available for 11 weeks starting in May or June.  

Schedule: Monday through Friday from 9:00am - 5:30pm. Hours and days of the week are flexible.

We are seeking a CNA in Surgery Center to:  

•    Provides patients' personal hygiene by giving bedpans, urinals, baths, shampoos, and shaves; assisting with travel to the bathroom; helping with showers and baths.
•    Assist patients with activities of daily living by assisting with serving meals, feeding patients as necessary; ambulating, turning, and positioning patients; providing fresh water and nourishment between meals. 
•    Provides adjunct care by administering nonsterile dressings, surgical preps, ice packs, heat treatments, sitz and therapeutic baths.
•    Provide patient comfort by utilizing resources and materials; transporting patients; answering patients' call lights and requests; reporting observations of the patient to nursing staff.
•    Timely and accurately relay and document patient information, to include: physical and mental status changes, vital signs, meal consumption, liquid intake, glucose results, distances walked, and daily bowel movement and urine amounts.
•   Ensure a clean and safe patient environment, equipped with adequate supplies for each patient.  Assist in keeping the patient rooms, supply rooms, and hallways neat, clean, and orderly.

Work Experience and Education:

Required - Current CNA Certification and Basic Life Support (within 3 months)

Preferred – Previous CNA Experience

Hourly Rate: $17.69/hour
 
Sauk Prairie Healthcare’s Locations – Sauk Prairie Healthcare has locations across southwest Wisconsin.  Our Hospital Campus, Wellspring Campus and 3 surgical specialty practices are located in Prairie du Sac.  Our primary care clinics are located in Mazomanie, Plain, Spring Green, Prairie du Sac, and Lodi.
