Our instructors for the CNA and QMA certifications provide vital skills that can be used in long-term care environments and others. They bring a wealth of knowledge combined with real world experience to our students.
Major Responsibilities:
Candidates must be able to provide instruction in person at the Evansville, IN campus.
PROGRAM OPERATION:
Perform all instructional duties necessary to teach and facilitate student learning in assigned classes.
Provide syllabus appropriate to course(s) being taught to students and follows syllabus content and requirements.
Maintain student attendance and grading records according to College policy as outlined in the Adjunct Handbook.
Submits requested information within established timelines.
STUDENTS:
Is available to students outside scheduled class time to answer questions/provide assistance.
Deal with student concerns and, if necessary, consult with program coordinator to resolve issues.
INSTRUCTION:
Meet all scheduled classes of contracted course(s). Use technology such as Blackboard, PowerPoint, etc. as appropriate.
In event of emergency absence, notifies program/department chair.
Conduct all activities with an appreciation and respect for diversity of people, styles, and views. Promote same as an integral part of one's work.

Hiring Range:
$45,000 - 55,000 per 9-month academic year
Work Hours:
This is a full-time position. Specific hours will depend on classes assigned but may include evenings.
This position is expected to start in August 2024.

Minimum Qualifications
Possesses an earned associate’s or higher degree from a regionally accredited institution, and
Is a licensed Registered Nurse holding an unencumbered license in the state of Indiana, and
Has a minimum of two years licensed nursing experience, of which at least one year must be in the provision of long-term care services,
Additional program requirements prior to start including:
Completed the required Indiana state department of health instructor QMA course.
Completed application for approval as a program director on file at the Indiana State Department of Health (ISDH) with all required documentation, and
Holds a current Workplace Specialist License granted by the Indiana Department of Education in any Health Sciences and
Has completed Indiana Department of Health Train-the-Trainer and
Approval by the ISDH Division of Long-Term Care Training Section as a program director.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in nursing
Experience providing instruction at a post-secondary institute.
