OnsiteCollins Aerospace is looking for a Senior Principal Project Engineer within the Program Technical Office (PTO) to work in the Boeing Value stream on support to legacy in-service aircraft. In this highly visible role, you will be a key partner in a customer facing role that liaises across different internal and external functions to drive technical tasks and activities, track progress against schedule and milestones, as well as drive resolution of technical issues. You will provide program level technical support to drive root cause and corrective action in support of the open field issues across the Boeing programs. You will be provided an opportunity to gather product knowledge and interface with internal and external customers.

What You Will Do
- Work for the PTM, you will have responsibility for a number of discrete projects aimed at supporting the in-service fleet of aircraft.
- Work with the customer, you will have responsibility for coordination of all tasks and activities, maintaining regular reviews and communications to ensure alignment of and progression of these projects.
- Integrated Master schedule development and tracking
- Risk and Opportunity task tracking and closure
- Engineering Coordination Memo generation and tracking, ensuring timely communications to the customer
- Coordinate Design Reviews, RRCA and DIVEs with Internal and External Stakeholders to recommend design changes.
- Coordinates with PTM, Component Engineering Teams, Program, Supply Chain and AMTS to track design changes that involve integration across multiple components.
- Develop and Maintain metrics management and visual controls to ensure timely completion of analysis/design activities.
- Leverage lessons learned and program read across to develop engineering best practices.
- Communicate and make presentations to senior level leadership
- Perform other duties as required
Qualifications You Must Have
- Requires a University Degree and typically a minimum of 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and typically a minimum of 7 years of experience.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future. RTX will not offer sponsorship for this position
- Experience with Aerospace engineering design and analysis review/release process.
- Project management skills using MS Office, MS Project and/or EVMS
Qualifications We Prefer
- Understanding of Certification (CS25) requirements
- Understanding of the configuration management process
- Identification of risks early on and ability to manage/mitigate by leveraging Sr. Leadership Support.
- Ability to influence, motivate and co-ordinate with diverse global teams/customers
- Prior experience designing and testing structural and equipment products
- Strong root cause and corrective action skills
