About the position: 
CDHY/WSD is seeking candidates to fill one or more Student Life Counselor - Transportation Monitor positions. The transportation monitor's job is to supervise students during transportation. Student supervision and maintaining a safe and secure environment is the focus of this position. Bus transportation monitors are expected to move up and down the aisles on the bus or monitor students while in travel status to ensure safety and behavioral management. These positions travel via charter bus with students but may include driving a state car and airline travel. These positions can be anywhere from 12 to 24 hours per week and hours will flex based on stops, weather, traffic, and route. The schedule for these positions are on Travel Days (Usually Friday and Sundays) during the school year and start/end times depends on the route working.

NOTE: This position is eligible for shift premium pay at an additional $2.50 per hour when the regular or temporary scheduled work includes hours after 6:00 pm and before 6:00 am where no overtime schedule change pay, or callback compensation is received. Graveyard positions received full shift premium pay for all hours worked. The Student Life Counselor position also receives a 5% assignment pay in addition to base salary and shift premium pay.
