Job Summary

Summary<br>Responsible for the care and safety of all patients under his/her care. Ensures effective communication with the charge nurse, the patient, staff, physicians, and other hospital departments.<br><br>Does this position require Patient Care?<br>No<br><br>Essential Functions<br>-Scrub procedure as assigned. <br>
-Assist in work area in central sterile between scrub assignments prn. <br>
-Assist in keeping overall operating room clean and tidy. <br>
-Make sure room is cleaned, straightened and stocked before going off duty. <br>
-Assist circulating nurse with care of the patient while in the room, providing nursing care to all patients of all ages. <br>
-Check daily to keep abreast of new changes occurring in the operating room. <br>

 

Qualifications

Education High School Diploma or Equivalent required and Associate's Degree Surgical Technology preferred Can this role accept experience in lieu of a degree? No Licenses and Credentials Experience Operating Room Experience 0-1 year preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities - Experience with instrumentation in the operating room. - Strong understanding of surgical technology and surgical procedure. - Knowledge of medical terminology. - Ability to communicate effectively. - Strong interpersonal skills.
