Job Description

The Client Services Data & AI team strives to create an open, trusting data culture where the cost of curiosity – the number of steps, amount of time, and complexity of effort needed to use operational data to derive insights – is as low as possible.  We govern Client Services’ operational data and metrics, create easily usable dashboards and data sources, build AI and ML models, and analyze data to share insights.

We are a part of the Client Services Global Business Operations function and work with all levels of stakeholders, from the C-Suite to customer-facing colleagues who rely on our assets to incorporate data into their daily responsibilities.

The Director of Data Solutions will lead a team responsible for ensuring our data capabilities meet internal clients’ requirements, are easily accessible, and adhere to internal governance standards intended to make Client Services’ data easier to use, more stable, and more secure for our internal customers.  This role is focused on maximizing the value of Client Services’ data investments.  The team is responsible for the policies, processes, and tools that will allow business and data experts across Client Services to use data better.

  • Lead and develop a team of solution managers, governance analysts, and user success professionals within the Client Services (CS) Data & AI team

    • Enhancing the performance, usability, and security of our platforms

    • Identifying business-user created BI content that is a candidate for expansion

  • Design and lead our Agile Solution Management practice, which focuses on delivering viable large-scale solutions to our internal customers
  • Ensure users from across Client Services can easily access, understand, and use appropriate data
  • Act as a Data Steward and liaison to the Chief Data Office, ensuring a seamless integration between Visa’s enterprise-wide capabilities and Client Services’ last-mile BI solutions
  • Partner with our Engineering team to ensure all data assets meet our standards for certification and ease of use
  • Maintain the team’s Tableau Server platform in a manner that is easy to navigate and use while maintaining appropriate levels of security
  • Serve as a domain expert, providing mentorship which helps team members grow their skills and careers in data
  • Communicate openly with stakeholders to ensure your deliverables meet business needs
  • Be a thought leader who grows the data culture of Visa’s Client Services function
