The UH-60 Aircraft Mechanic AM-I (UH-60 Engine Mechanic) inspects and performs maintenance on aircraft turbine engines and components according to drawings, blueprints, directives, technical manuals and safety procedures.
Strong desire for (FAA) Powerplant Certificate, if No PP certificate, must have Two (2) years of documented engine specialized repair experience on the UH-60, Blackhawk.
Three (3) years aviation maintenance experience, two (2) years rotary wing aircraft experience, and two (2) years on the assigned UH-60 Blackhawk Mission Design Series (MDS).
US Citizenship is Required to obtain the NAC-I Clearance and for facility access and credentials to work at this location.
Removes, replaces, services, prepares, preserves, cleans and stores engine assembles or components.
Disassembles, repairs, reassembles, adjusts, diagnostically tests turbine engine systems, subsystems and components according to directives.
Assists in troubleshooting engines and rigging engine controls.
Performs limited maintenance operational checks.
Performs scheduled inspections and assists in performing special inspections.
Uses and performs operator maintenance on tools, special tools and aircraft ground support equipment.
Services and lubricates engines and components.
Requisitions bench stock for repair of aircraft engines.
Prepares request for turn ins and repair parts and engine components. Prepares forms and records related to aircraft maintenance.
Maintains the supplies and performs preventive maintenance.
Performs additional duties, including maintenance duties, as requested.
Adheres to company policies and safety programs (Safety-first mentality).
Minimum Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED equivalent is Required.
U.S. military technical school or specialized training course is desired; certification of education level is required.
Valid (FAA) A&P certificate is preferred. (optional)

All experience must be within the six (6) most recent years.
Must possess thorough knowledge of aircraft turbine engines and repair.
A valid Driver’s License is Required.
Mechanics must provide their own tools/toolbox. Tools must be etched with PID and toolbox shadowed for each tool. (Recruiters will provide toolbox requirements to the candidate).
Shift Work Required: Must be willing and able to work any shift assigned under the Union CBA - (day shift, swing shift, night shift, and/or weekend shift (if applicable).
Must be eligible to obtain a Valid US Passport and be able to travel internationally if requested for operational requirements. (applicable to OCONUS work sites).
Security Clearance Requirements:
Must be able to obtain and maintain a NAC-I (T1) Public Trust Security Clearance. Must be able to obtain and maintain facility credentials/authorization. US Citizenship is Required for facility credentials/authorization to work at this facility.
Knowledge & Skills:
Basic knowledge of aircraft unique tools such as test equipment, torque wrenches, dial indicators, micrometers, hydraulic press machine, and those listed in the assigned UH-60 (MDS) Maintenance Allocation Chart (MAC).
Working knowledge of technical publications and Logistics Information Systems.
Able to prioritize workloads to maintain schedules on assigned projects
Possess the level of experience to inspect all required aeronautical type maintenance to be performed by an aircraft turbine engine mechanic.
The Engine Mechanic receives technical guidance, as required, from supervisor or higher-level technician, will occasionally be required to lead teams through more complex aircraft relevant tasks, and may be required to make entries in aircraft logs and records.
