KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Bain Capital is looking for a Director who will drive and continue to evolve the learning strategy for our pre-Partner investment professionals across our businesses. The role is based in our Boston headquarters alongside our
high-performing Investment Professional Learning team.
Day-to-day responsibilities:
- Work with global investment leaders and heads of HR across the firm to:
- Continue to build and regularly evolve our investment professional learning blueprint, to ensure consistency with our talent strategy and our broader business strategy
- In partnership with our investment professionals, subject matter experts, talent teams, and our Learning team, identify creative learning experiences (synchronous and asynchronous) to enhance skillsets and create opportunities for connection across our global businesses
- Build and deliver world-class, tailored training programs
- Develop curriculum and author training modules on investor toolkit and skill-related topics
- Collect feedback, draw insights to share with leaders, and drive continuous improvement
- Manage, support, and coach junior team members
- Assist with other strategic initiatives related to investment professional learning across our firm’s platform
QUALIFICATIONS:
The ideal candidate will have the following experience profile and skills:
- MBA from an accredited institution
- 8+ years of work experience, including management consulting at a top tier consulting firm
- Leading complex strategic projects with strong interest in, and demonstrated passion for, Learning & Development; experience leading strategic talent initiatives preferred
- Must be business-oriented first, with a lens towards people development, to grasp the alternative asset business, strategy, and concepts in order to translate them into curriculum
- Able to work comfortably and credibly with senior leadership as a trusted partner
- Strong, professional communication skills (written and verbal)
- Able to anticipate, identify and deliver strong results in a fast-paced global environment, and can balance leading and being hands-on as required, in a team-based environment
- Strong project management skills, organizational skills, attention to detail, and a passion to learn
- Able to flex working schedule to accommodate global demand, and a willingness to travel to global programs (approx. 1 week every 3 months, including international travel)
- Solid proficiency with Microsoft Office suite – especially PowerPoint and Excel; experience with survey design tools (e.g., Survey Monkey, Qualtrics, etc.), and familiarity with Learning Management Systems (e.g., Docebo, Cornerstone, etc.)
