Director of AV

Salary: $140,000 - 170,000/yearWe are seeking a dynamic and experienced Internal Director of AV to lead our AV engineering, live events management, and Webex/VTC systems setup initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of AV technology, a proven track record in managing teams, and a passion for delivering high-quality AV solutions.

Responsibilities

• AV Engineering Leadership:
• Oversee the design, implementation, and optimization of AV systems for various projects.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure AV solutions align with client requirements and industry standards.
• Drive innovation in AV technology to enhance user experiences and operational efficiency.
• Live Events Management:
• Manage and coordinate all aspects of live events, including audiovisual setup, technical support, and post-event analysis.
• Develop and execute event production plans, ensuring seamless execution and exceptional attendee experiences.
• Collaborate with event stakeholders to understand event objectives and deliver customized AV solutions.
• Webex and VTC Systems Setup:
• Oversee the setup, configuration, and maintenance of Webex and VTC systems.
• Provide technical expertise and support for virtual meetings, ensuring optimal audiovisual quality and functionality.
• Train team members and end-users on best practices for utilizing Webex and VTC systems effectively.
• Team Management:
• Lead and mentor a team of AV technicians, providing guidance, support, and professional development opportunities.
• Collaborate with HR on recruitment, training, performance evaluations, and career progression for team members.
• Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning within the AV team.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in AV technology, engineering, or related field (preferred).
• Proven experience (5+) in AV engineering, live events management, and Webex/VTC systems setup.
• Strong leadership skills with a demonstrated ability to manage and inspire teams.
• In-depth knowledge of audiovisual technologies, including AV systems design, integration, and troubleshooting.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
• Project management experience, with the ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage budgets.
• Industry certifications (e.g., CTS, Crestron, Extron) are a plus.
