VCA Arboretum View Animal Hospital is currently hiring a Veterinary Assistant to join our exceptionally skilled and fun team!  

About This Role:

VCA Arboretum View Animal Hospital is a location where our after hours VA/Client Liasson are needed in our ER to facilitate communication between our clients and Doctors.

Schedule:  Overnights FT

What You’ll Do (Day-to-Day Responsibilities): 

• Assist in surgical procedures, including anesthesia monitoring and post-op recovery 

• Perform dental cleanings, charting, and radiographs 

• Administer medications and vaccines as directed by the DVM 

• Collect samples and perform in-house laboratory diagnostics 

• Prepare patients and exam rooms for appointments 

• Educate clients on treatment plans, medications, and home care 

• Maintain accurate patient medical records

  Requirements:

• Certified Veterinary Technician- CVT, LVT, RVT or recently graduated from a AVMA accredited Technician program.
• Strong background in anesthesia in acute care cases
