What You Can Expect
As a Commercial Analyst II in Houston, you will report to Commercial Coordination Advisor and provide assistance and support wholesale power commercial operations through onboarding of new wind, solar and battery projects (generating assets) being constructed by ENGIE in various markets in the US, into ENGIE’s existing processes and systems, resolving problem issues and exceptions associated with ENGIE’s ongoing operations of generating assets in wholesale power markets and developing and refining internal processes, workflows and documentation.
Every day, you will track progress of key components of late stage commissioning of new generating assets being constructed by ENGIE in various market regions, enter progress information into tracking software and produce reports for executive operations, trading and asset optimization staff and develop, maintain written documentation for new and existing processes. associated with Independent System Operator (ISO) Settlements and Power Scheduling.
What You’ll Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in which you completed courses in Engineering, Mathematics, Economics, Accounting, Management Information System (MIS) or other analytical field
- Minimum of two (2) years relevant experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Must have the ability to think analytically, present ideas professionally, and work in project teams
- Preparing documentation for users of systems and processes
- Building reports in Excel
- Excel Pivot Tables
- Generation metering
- Power Scheduling in various ISOs
- 24 hour power dispatch desk operations
- ISO market and operational rules

- This role is eligible for our hybrid work policy

Compensation
Salary Range: $62,400 – $95,450 USD annually
This represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate.
Actual offered salary may depend on geography, experience, industry knowledge, education, internal pay alignment, or other bona fide factors.

In addition to base pay, this position is eligible for a competitive bonus / incentive plan.
