About the Role

As a key member of AESC US LLC, you will play a crucial role in advancing our mission to lead in full-value-chain battery solutions for a sustainable future. Reporting to the Senior HR Manager, you will provide support, recommendations and coaching to all levels of the organization in the areas of Payroll, Benefits, Compensation, Employee Relations, Recruitment, Talent management, and Employee Engagement. The ideal candidate will partner with the management on key initiatives and will develop, implement, and manage various projects and programs in support of overall business effectiveness.

Your work within the Human Resources Team will directly impact our strategic goals and contribute to our position as a global leader in battery technology.

 

What You Will Do

  • Serve as the AESC benefits relations contact for all employees and work closely with outside vendors to answer/address employee questions/concerns
  • Ability to provide training /development to employees at all levels of the organization in compliance with identified needs of the individual/organization
  • Support recruiting process for exempt and non-exempt roles by developing job descriptions, writing advertisements, screening and interviewing candidates
  • Lead on-boarding of new hires from I-9 to benefits enrollment and policy review and coordinate plant/department tours for acclimating new employees to their new surroundings
  • Foster an environment that promotes active employee engagement and coaches / advises managers on a specific best-practice approach to ensure the existence of an engaged and vibrant workforce 
  • Develop recommend and implement HR-related company policies and procedures; prepare and maintain handbook on policies and procedures; communicate policies to all employees
  • Work with the management team on various employee relations issues, including performance management, compliance investigations and corrective action. Conducts investigations as necessary and takes appropriate action(s) based on company policy/practice. Also responsible for administering discipline as appropriate
  • Establish and maintain department records and reports. Participates in administrative staff meetings and attends other meetings, such as seminars. Maintains organizational charts and employee directory. Track key metrics for organization improvement and develop action plans to close gaps. 
  • Recommend new processes, policies and procedures to effect continual improvements throughout the organization. Acts as employee advocate, ensuring an environment of positive employee relations.  
  • Possess effective written and verbal communication skills to support key organizational messages.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state and local employment laws.
  • Ability to support payroll processes including willingness to administer payroll services as needed.

 What You Need

  • Minimum of 1 year of demonstrated success in Human Resources, showcasing a track record of achieving key objectives and driving impactful results. 
  • A bachelor's degree in a relevant field is required. 
  • Knowledge of federal and state regulations with a broad understanding in various aspects of Human Resources management and administration. 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), ensuring the ability to navigate and contribute effectively to our dynamic work environment. 
  • Ability to think strategically and contribute to the development and execution of key initiatives, demonstrating an innovative mindset and problem-solving
