Position Overview

This leader will provide efficiency, excellence, and optimization to the sales process every day. They enable executives and leaders with the tools and processes to be successful but are not responsible for completing the initiatives. The VP, Sales Strategy and Enablement is pivotal in driving growth and stability within our business by leveraging data-driven insights to enhance sales strategies and partnering with the necessary sales leader to ensure Payroc’s sales partners are equipped and actively selling products and services as best possible. 

This role will be instrumental in supporting the CRO, President, and senior executives, ensuring sales teams have the resources and tools they need to achieve their objectives, and optimizing sales channels. The ideal candidate would be working with the CRO and Executives day-to-day to ensure that sales leaders are meeting their strategic objectives, while developing strong working relationships with all leaders across the organization. To be successful, you will need a strong understanding of Payroc, sales and sales background within the merchant space, a good technical background, and the soft skills to interact with various personalities and departments.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Sales Performance Analysis
    • Own the sales reporting and analysis, encompassing sales performance, productivity, pipeline management, and financial metrics.
    • Present data-driven insights to sales executives, offering proactive recommendations to align sales strategies with market trends and indicators.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, product, and marketing, to deliver insightful analysis and automate reporting processes for increased efficiency. 
  • Sales Strategy and Support
    • Work with Business Unit leaders during M&A and IMO process to ensure proper allocation and attention of resources are assigned to drive sales and not prevent them
    • Work directly with senior sales leadership to establish pricing and costs for Payroc’s services in conjunction with Product
    • Work directly with senior sales leadership to understand and align sales targets with recruitment needs and strategy.
    • Continuously assess the sales organization's requirements and assist in determining the optimal number of sales representatives required to achieve targets.
    • Support integrating sales data into strategic insights to facilitate effective decision-making across various sales channels.
    • Facilitate periodic business performance reviews with sales leaders, providing transparency into progress against objectives.
  • Sales Enablement
    • Work hands on with the leaders of Sales Partners to solution opportunities and strategies to grow portfolios and business
    • Showcasing Vintage 1 & 2 reporting to allow partners to view their business and how we evaluate them enabling them to work smarter not harder while protecting against attrition
    • Leveraging reporting to provide bespoke data and other critical information to individual partners based on their partner type, needs, and requests
  • Collaborate with leaders of Sales Partners on their needs to be more successful by leveraging Payroc reporting and other tools to support
  • Discuss future growth plans for where the sales partners or groups intends to be in the next 12 and 24 months

Qualifications

  • Deep payments/merchant services expertise (ISOs, buy-rates, portfolio economics).
  • Strong analytical and financial acumen with ability to turn data into strategy.
  • Strong communication and organizational skill-sets.
  • Executive-level communication skills for CRO, President, and senior leadership interactions.
  • Proven experience in sales strategy, enablement, or sales operations.
  • High proficiency with BI tools (Looker) and CRM systems.
  • Ability to drive cross-functional alignment across Sales, Product, Finance, Marketing, and Operations.
  • Experience supporting M&A and integration activities.
  • Strategic thinker who can assess sales org needs (staffing, targets, capacity).
  • Strong relationship-building and influencing skills with internal and external partners.
  • Technical aptitude with reporting systems, integrations, and payments infrastructure.
  • High adaptability and comfort navigating ambiguity in a fast-moving environment.
  • Leadership presence with strong soft skills to engage diverse personal
