Position Summary:

The Senior Budget Associate plays a critical role in ensuring the financial health and efficiency of the IT department. This position requires a strong understanding of financial and budgeting principles, analytical skills, and a passion for details. The Senior Budget Associate will be responsible for managing the budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and P2P processes as part of ongoing IT operations; this individual will also help with project management and execution in line with the technology digital transformation roadmap

General Responsibilities:

Primary responsibilities of the Senior Budget Associate will include the development and maintenance of the department's annual budget, reporting, and ensuring the budget aligns with overall organizational goals and strategies. The Senior Budget Associate will also serve as the primary point of contact for all department-related P2P processes. From a project management standpoint, they will also manage projects and ongoing enhancements as assigned by the leadership.

Specific Job Functions:

  • Develop and maintain annual budgets for the entire IT department, aligning with overall organizational goals.

  • Conduct regular budget reviews to identify variances and recommend adjustments.

  • Forecast IT expenditures based on historical data and future trends.

  • Prepare and distribute (Capex and Opex)_budget vs. actual spend data to IT management and executive leadership.

  • Prepare detailed financial reports for the CIO and other IT department stakeholders on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.

  • Assist the Senior Director and/or Senior ERP Manager in project planning, execution, and budget monitoring.

  • Coordinate with various stakeholders to track project progress and budget adherence.

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all department-related P2P processes, including coordinating contract and SOW reviews and ensure that they are completed in a timely manner and in line with internal policies and procedures.

  • Serve as a mentor to the P2P Analyst and other contractors, interns, as assigned and help with demand management, prioritization, task assignments and resource availability.

  • Conduct and document quarterly QAD audits.

  • Manage the accrual process for IT expenses, including ensuring timely goods receipt postings and coordinating with the Finance and AP teams as needed.

  • Explore new process improvement opportunities in the budgeting and P2P areas and implement measures to help streamline processes, reduce costs, and produce timely information.

  • Proactively engage the IT Leadership Team through discussions to define clear business requirements.

  • Adhere to all LivaNova policies and procedures as well as all relevant financial regulations and accounting standards.

Skills and Experience:

  • 10+ years of experience in budgeting, financial planning and analysis.

  • Strong analytical thinker, self-motivated and results-oriented team player capable of producing timely, high-quality deliverables.

  • Proficiency in financial software and tools (e.g., SAP, Excel, ERP systems).

  • Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with minimum supervision.

  • A proactive professional with good presentation/communication, negotiation and conflict resolution skills.

Leadership skills:

  • Demonstrated leadership: Ability to balance team and individual responsibilities, build teams and consensus, get things done through others not directly under their supervision, and work ethically and with integrity.

  • Financial Analysis: Knowledge of tools and approaches of financial analysis; ability to read, interpret and draw accurate conclusions from financial and numerical material.
