What You Will Do

  • Accountable Quality leader overseeing a team responsible for a wheel and brake site and its global customer base.
  • Engage on both strategic and tactical levels, focusing on quality, cost and schedule performance, early engagement, influencing, and providing differentiating quality value to program teams and customers.
  • Be the Quality POC for all programs being executed at all AWB sites, interfacing across programs, Key carbon sites and customers supporting technical quality and financial performance, and compliance to Collins procedures and contractual requirements.
  • Lead integration and implementation of cross-functional teams to ensure alignment to quality and customer requirements per the program quality plan
  •  Assess the QMS health and ensure full compliance with the different applicable requirements for the entire site activity.
  • Develop partnerships with senior managers, IPTs, customers, and quality functions of other sites/team to define steps necessary to implement proactive quality strategies that shape Raytheon’s ability to become the provider of choice.
  • Generation of new CORE (Customer Oriented Result and Excellence), CoPQ (Cost of Poor Quality) projects to reduce costs/increase efficiency across supported programs.
  • Monitor / lead root cause corrective action (RCCA) activities for systemic issues and to ensure extensive RCCA.
  • Develop and manage plans, guidelines, policies, and processes to ensure the achievement of quality targets.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and partner with program leadership teams to define and implement quality improvement strategies.
  • Lead Quality Management System (QMS) gap analysis and future state process implementation.
  • Ensure Safety Management System is well deployed at each level of the organization.
  • Ensure FAA and military customer compliance across contracts and platforms.
  • Lead cross-functional Escape investigation teams and drive RCCA.
  • Support site Quality Management System in accordance with Collins’s quality standards.
  • Direct quality deliverables and initiatives including: APQP, quality notification reviews, material disposition, certificate of Conformance review, shipment data packages, root cause and investigation.
  • Work cross-functionally resolving problems with product quality impacting operations and customers.
  • Support the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of inspection procedures and technologies using the CORE approach.
  • Drive product and process improvements ensuring the value stream quality metric goals are met (Escapes, Scrap, Rework, Throughput, Process Certification).
  • Establish systems to support data integrity and accessibility.
  • Ensure adequate supplier quality surveillance is in place, either based on Power & Control surveillance for the common suppliers or using our own surveillance for Propeller Systems dedicated suppliers.
  • Drive quality improvement initiatives to ensure ongoing reductions in Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ), Scrap Repair & Rework (SRR), and escapes.

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 12 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 10 years of experience or in absence
