WORK WEEK SCHEDULE
Monday-Friday (occasional evenings and weekends) Position is available for a Hybrid Telework workweek
POSITION PURPOSE:
Supports the development and implementation of the district's employee performance management program. Serves as the Wake County Public School System (WCPSS) district contact for the North Carolina Educator Evaluation System (NCEES) and the online platform tool for data storage. Responsible for co-managing district usage of the program to ensure evaluations are completed according to deadlines set while providing support to district users. In collaboration, develops and delivers training to administrators on the use of NCEES.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES (KSAs)
- Extensive knowledge of NCEES and the overall evaluation process for all staff;
- Considerable knowledge of Microsoft Office, specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; Google Apps;
- Excellent customer service skills;
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills;
- Ability to lead and motivate staff;
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely both in oral and written form using a variety of communication techniques and tools to ensure the appropriate flow of information, collaborative efforts, and feedback; ability to effectively communicate with a wide variety of people, personalities, and situations;
- Ability to assess program needs and develop short-term and long-term goals and plans;
- Ability to design and deliver professional development to adult learners;
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with school system staff, external agencies, and the community.
EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited college or university;
- Completion of NCEES training;
- Five years of experience in coaching and mentoring school staff to support improved instruction, culture, and overall school outcomes.
CERTIFICATION AND LICENSE REQUIREMENTS
- Hold or be qualified to hold a North Carolina Professional Educator’s License in school administration or curriculum
and supervision;
- Must hold and maintain a valid motor vehicle operator's license according to the State of North Carolina requirements.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience as a principal or assistant principal.
