Data Testing Lead

AVER is a fast-growing SDVOSB that has achieved significant revenue growth over the past 5 plus years with much of our work focused on Data Analytics, Mission Support, IT Modernization and Biometrics. AVER is seeking a Data Testing Lead with Federal Civilian customer experience to lead overall testing of a technical solution that includes developing a test approach, defining a test plan, and building/performing test cases and scenarios. This effort is part of a larger implementation of a new COTS-based Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system for a complex Financial Systems Modernization (FSM) program. Be part of a collaborative team who values AVER’s mission, focus, and culture and to deliver exceptional client service with great people and transformative technology solutions to enable Government mission success.   

Responsibilities Include:    

• Lead and manage testing efforts for Government agency's financial & accounting system development
• Develop and establish testing approach/strategy including test type, timeline, scope of testing, environments, and rules of engagement
• Prepare and supervise defect strategy, defect triage, defect procedures, and report results
• Collaborate with stakeholders and business users in determining ways to define test-accepting criteria and obtain sign-off of test results
• Plan, implement, and coordinate with client and other stakeholders for cutover and migration activities
• Ability to work with ERP functional & technical teams to capture test data requirements to develop test cases, test scenarios, and test scripts
• Hands on development and execution of complex SQL queries for testing
• Utilize methods of automation testing such as scripting or using automation tools
• Ensure end-users and stakeholders are trained and knowledgeable of the UAT & UIT procedures and have the ability to assess all testing findings
• Integrate and develop testing schedules with the master project plan
• Prepare and execute UAT and UIT end-to-end tests as needed

Education Requirements:    

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Information Systems)

Experience Requirements:   

• 3+ years of experience in leading testing activities for ERP financial & accounting system
• 3+ years of financial experience in government ERP financial system
• 6+ years of using SQL to perform data manipulation and retrieval for testing
• Experience in testing data/system migrations
• Experience using automation testing tools and writing scripts for testing
• Knowledge of database concepts, such as normalization and indexing
• Experience working with government systems (i.e., SharePoint, ServiceNow, MS Teams) and stakeholders
• Proficient with MS Office (e.g., MS PowerPoint, MS Word, MS Excel)

• Ability to adapt and operate effectively in ambiguous or rapidly changing environments
• Strong analytical skills, written and oral communication skills
• Prior experience supporting Federal government customers
• Active DHS clearance (EOD)

Location:

• REMOTE (Local in Washington, DC) 

Security Requirements:      

• Ability to obtain and maintain a government clearance (Public Trust) 
• This role supports a government agency which requires U.S. Citizenship
