About the role

Client and Custody Operations (CCO) – Data Governance Intern

 

Bessemer Trust’s CCO – Data, Tax, and Operations group supports key operational functions critical to delivering exceptional service to clients and advisors.

As a Data Governance Intern, you will gain exposure to core CCO functions, including client onboarding, asset recordkeeping, valuation, tax reporting, and operational controls.

You’ll work closely with the Data Governance team, which ensures the accuracy, consistency, and integrity of enterprise data across the firm. The team combines policy, stewardship, and technology to address data quality issues, support compliance, and enhance client experience.

The internship offers hands-on experience in data governance, analytics, and collaboration across departments.

 

Responsibilities

  • Assist in implementing data quality rules and standards
  • Refine data glossaries, catalogs, and metadata
  • Support dashboard/reporting updates and data analysis
  • Contribute to AI and metadata initiatives
  • Partner with cross-functional teams on data projects

 

Qualifications

  • Pursuing a bachelor’s degree (e.g., data science, business, finance, or related field)

 

Technical Skills

  • Familiarity with data governance concepts
  • Skills in SQL, Excel, and BI tools (Qlik or similar)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Word and Access
  • Interest in Informatica IDMC and AI/metadata tools

  • Interest in finance, operations, and technology
  • Comfortable working with new tools and processes
