Position Title: Data Architect
The Position:Makpar has an exciting opportunity for a Data Architect to join our growing team.

Role Specific Duties

• Examine client data sources, database structure, and implementation of current operations, applications, and programming
• Develop and implement a data strategy that is in line with business processes
• Responsible for establishing enterprise data layer architecture
• Supports Requirements Capture and Refinement activities
• Experience with federal data lakes, data warehouse, data mesh, and ETL and API connections
• Examine and identify database structural necessities by evaluating client operations
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including business analysts, data engineers, data scientists, and IT teams, to capture and refine data requirements, translating business needs into actionable data solutions.
• Conduct regular performance evaluations and assessments of data architecture solutions, identifying areas for improvement and implementing necessary enhancements to optimize system efficiency and effectiveness.
• Partner with business stakeholders to translate strategic goals and objectives into actionable data architecture plans, promoting a data-driven culture and leveraging data assets for business success.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Data Architect or in a similar role, with a minimum of 7 years of hands-on experience in designing and implementing complex data solutions.
• In-depth knowledge of database management systems, data warehousing, data modeling, and data integration techniques.
• Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing data strategies aligned with business goals and processes.
• Proficiency in data governance, data quality management, and data security practices.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex technical challenges and design innovative solutions.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and business users.
• Experience working in an Agile or iterative development environment.
• Strong leadership skills, with the ability to mentor and guide team members.
• Candidates must be a US Citizen or a Legal Permanent Resident (Green Card status) for 3 years and be Federal Tax compliant.
