I. Major Responsibilities:

1. Manage the day-to-day operations of the SUD program, ensuring effective service delivery.

2. Evaluates opportunities to increase the efficiency of the reporting and operations with a willingness to try new approaches.

3. Develop and implement operational policies and procedures to enhance program efficiency and effectiveness.

4. Monitors, tracks, and reports required data and metrics to the Department of Public Health (DPH).

5. Continuously monitors program performance, updates dashboards to reflect the latest data and insights and identifies areas for improvement and implementing data-driven solutions to enhance outcomes.

6. Assist in the development and management of the program budget, ensuring optimal use of resources.

7. Manages relationships with organizations and team members delivering substance use disorder treatment and services, working collaboratively to advance the program, making every effort to meet established goals.

8. Establishes and maintains strong working relationship with internal and external partners - serving as a representative of UMass Memorial Health adhering to the highest professional standards, mission and values, and PHI requirements.

9. Leads process discovery sessions to define operation definitions for data and identify stakeholder’s requirements for work in an ambiguous, constantly changing environment.

10. Prepares reports for internal and external stakeholder groups and validates the work in a way that can be easily understood.

11. Records and maintains tracking mechanisms and documentation supporting high quality hand-offs and reporting.

12. Participates in grant writing and program development activities for the service. 13. Documents in DPH reporting system, electronic health record system, and Excel as required.

II. Position Qualifications:

License/Certification/Education:

Required:
1. Master’s Degree in Human Services or equivalent. 
2. Must be license eligible upon hire (LICSW, LISW, or LMHC).  If not licensed upon hire, employee must obtain LICSW or LICW license within 18 months of hire or will be subject to termination.  If not licensed upon hire, employee must obtain LMHC license within 24 months of hire or will be subject to termination. 


Preferred:
1. LCSW, LICSW, or LMHC licensure. 

Experience/Skills:

Required:

1. Minimum of 5 years of experience in healthcare operations management or administration, preferably in an emergency medicine, behavioral health, or SUD setting. 2. Knowledge of healthcare operations and systems. 

3. Ability to adapt to changes in healthcare delivery at local and systems level.

4. Strong organizational and time management abilities.
