About the role
Job Description: As a Housekeeping Supervisor at our vibrant Moxy Vanderbilt Hillsboro Village Hotel, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and organization. You will supervise and support the housekeeping team to ensure efficient operations and exceptional guest experiences. Qualifications:- 1-2 years experience in Housekeeping- Previous experience in a housekeeping supervisory or leadership role within the hospitality industry.- Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team effectively.- Knowledge of housekeeping procedures, cleaning techniques, and use of cleaning equipment.- Excellent organizational & communication skills to coordinate tasks and interact with guests and team members.- Proficiency in using housekeeping management software or similar systems is a plus.
*Work Schedule: This position may require flexibility in scheduling, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to accommodate the hotel's operational needs*
Key Responsibilities:
Team Leadership and Supervision:Supervise and lead the housekeeping team, including room attendants and cleaners.Assign tasks, schedule shifts, and monitor performance to ensure adherence to established standards.
Operational Support:Assist in coordinating daily housekeeping operations, including room cleaning, public area maintenance, and inventory management.Conduct regular inspections to ensure cleanliness and compliance with established protocols.
Training and Development:Train new housekeeping staff on cleaning procedures, safety protocols, and guest service standards.Provide ongoing coaching and support to enhance team efficiency and effectiveness.
Quality Assurance:Monitor the quality of cleaning services provided, address any deficiencies, and ensure corrective actions are taken promptly.Uphold Moxy's standards of cleanliness and organization throughout the hotel.
Guest Satisfaction:Respond promptly and effectively to guest requests, inquiries, and concerns related to housekeeping services.Foster a positive guest experience by ensuring a clean and comfortable environment.
Physical Requirements:Must be able to sit, stand, and walk for long periods of time. Light work – exerting up to 30 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 40 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
