About this Position / Responsibilities
NFF Inc. is looking for two resources for supporting the architecture and governance programs within the Digital Modernization’s Office of Enterprise Architecture office. The Enterprise Architecture team develops, governs, and oversees the implementation of the authority’s business driven Digital Ecosystem reference architecture.
This is a key role (2 openings) within NFF Inc’s Enterprise Architecture (EA) team that will provide support for all aspects of the EA work program. At the heart of the EA work program is the Digital Ecosystem reference architecture, consisting of application management, data synthesis, and user enablement, operating within a secure foundation. The work program includes cocreation of the long-range technology vision and roadmap driven by business needs, development and governance of strategic and domain architectures, creation and implementation of standards and governance activities across the Digital Ecosystem, and facilitation of the technology change control program. The team works to optimize technology solution implementation through all stages of the lifecycle: identification of business need, solution design, procurement, implementation, operations/maintenance, and decommissioning.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Align broader strategic vision around business needs, resulting in technology roadmaps.
- Conduct business capabilities mapping and cataloging business processes.
- Confer with business units and application development staff to understand both the business and technical requirements and to define architectural constraints.
- Define and maintain the architectural frameworks/patterns, processes, standards, and guidelines related to all aspects of the Digital Ecosystem. Create and maintain diagrams of as-is and to-be architectures.
- Provide technical and architectural subject matter expertise to various project teams, including development of technology decision-making frameworks and supporting technology decisions throughout the technology lifecycle.
- Establish governance best-practices and standards to streamline the technology implementation lifecycle for both off-the-shelf and homegrown solutions including on premises and cloud (SaaS, IaaS, PaaS) architectures.
- Support the agency’s data governance program including development of policies & standards, roles & responsibilities needed to ensure data is managed as an enterprise asset.
- Facilitate technology change management programs and support enterprise technology initiatives.
- Create and assess performance metrics to determine the effectiveness of architecture and governance initiatives.
- Maintain an eye toward continuous improvement of all architecture and governance systems, practices, policies, and artifacts.
- Produce complete and accurate documentation for work based on best practices & client standards.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across the authority.
Qualifications
Skills/Experience Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering, computer science, information systems management, or related field and experience commensurate with the requested level; if no degree, equivalent experience in database administration, IT systems management, or software/cloud/data engineering
- Seven (7) years of professional experience working with technology systems engineering, management, or architec
