Reporting in to our SVP Global Operations, we are looking for a VP, Global Operations who brings Merchant Acquiring experience to help lead transformation efforts across our operations team. The VP, Global Operations is a strategic and operational partner to the SVP, Global Operations and the senior leadership team of the global operations team. You will be responsible for driving the execution of key initiatives, facilitating cross-functional alignment and communication, and providing insights and recommendations to optimize the global operations effectiveness and impact. You will act as a liaison between the global operations team and other internal and external stakeholders such as sales, product, IT, marketing and data, ensuring alignment and collaboration on strategic priorities and operational challenges. In addition, this leader has strong knowledge with payment processing and acts as an advisor to our US operations team. You will work closely with the CEO, ExCo, and senior leadership teams across all functions to drive strategy and growth for the broader Merchant Solutions organization. This role will also be responsible for managing and advising the strategy team and product delivery team to ensure revenue and EBITDA initiatives are identified, prioritized, analyzed, and executed.
This role is based in Jacksonville, Florida and offers a hybrid work environment where you will have a blend of 3 in office working days and 2 remote working days during the work week.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Support the SVP, Global Operations in developing and executing the strategic vision and goals of the global operations department, ensuring alignment with the overall company strategy and objectives.
- Drive transformation and strategy initiatives, working closely with the SVP, Global Operations and senior leadership team to identify opportunities for growth and improvement, and develop and implement plans to achieve them.
- Act as senior advisor to the North America payment processing operations team to ensure we operate at and above market standards.
- Create strategies at the organization, channel, product, or project-level to drive new revenue, increase portfolio profitability, reduce attrition, reduce expenses, and/or capture any uncollected revenue
- Seek and coordinate alignment across business strategy, product strategy, data strategy, and revenue strategy
- Identify revenue and EBITDA risks and opportunities to help navigate potential change and anticipate impact to multiple sales channel P&Ls
- Responsible for leading, designing, and executing strategy in the Merchant Solutions team
- Understand and navigate the business environment, competitive landscape and business models
- Build peer support and strong internal relationships with key stakeholders
- Negotiate with vendors to secure incentives, reduce costs, and/or seize new revenue opportunities
- Manage multiple teams and all aspects of managing the team, including but not limited to: overseeing roadmaps and prioritization of work, hiring, training, coaching, and developing team
- Serve as a trusted advisor to the CEO to influence and execute on his agenda
- Manage business communications on behalf of CEO, prepare presentations for C-level and board audiences; act as proxy as needed
- Partner with senior leaders across functions to understand their strategy, roadblocks, and path to success; filtering status updates to CEO
- Influence product and technical roadmaps
What we are looking for:
- 7+ years of experience in a similar role within the payments or fintech industry directly related to payments acquiring / payments gateway experience
- 5+ years of leadership experience leading direct reports and team
