About the role

Our mission is to make exceptional healthcare accessible anytime, anywhere, for anyone.

At Assort Health, we believe healthcare should feel effortless and connected — quick answers, clear communication, and seamless access to care. That’s why we’re building a new foundation for how patients and providers connect, driven by AI, built to embrace the complexities of healthcare, and tailored to each provider’s unique needs.

Assort is the most comprehensive patient experience platform powered by specialty-specific agentic AI. Assort’s omnichannel AI agents seamlessly integrate with EHR/PMS and complicated provider preferences to eliminate lengthy hold times and inefficiencies that stand in the way of patients getting the care they need.

Since launching in 2023, Assort has managed over 145M+ patient interactions, slashing average hold times from 11 minutes to 1 minute. Our platform now handles calls for thousands of providers with 98%+ resolution rates and 99% scheduling accuracy. Patient satisfaction averages 4.5/5 over 52K reviews, and we’ve achieved 20× revenue growth in 2025. We’re scaling rapidly and expanding adoption across the entire healthcare industry.

About the Role

At Assort, we're building toward a future where AI is embedded into how we operate, not layered on top. We're looking for a hands-on AI Operations Leader to help us move faster, reduce operational drag, and unlock leverage across the company.

You are the hands-on builder, problem solver, and strategist driving AI adoption and impact across Assort’s business teams. You'll partner closely with GTM, Post-Sales, Agent PM, Product, and Engineering to identify inefficiencies, build intelligent workflows, and drive adoption across teams. You won't just be solving problems in isolation; you'll help define how Assort becomes an AI-first company, building the systems, standards, and internal tooling that compound over time.

What You'll Do

Strategy and prioritization

  • Own a prioritized AI roadmap sourced from department needs, leadership priorities, and Champion network signal; validate with prototypes before committing build time

  • Set the operating model for what gets built centrally vs. embedded in each function

Build and ship

  • Design and ship AI-powered workflows, automations, and internal tools from concept to production to iteration

  • Mix custom code, APIs, and no/low-code platforms based on what ships fastest without compromising rigor

Standards and tooling

  • Define agent and skill lifecycle and foundational assets (prompt libraries, SOPs, templates, integration patterns), extending GTM's centralization work into company-wide standards

  • Standardize how we build, evaluate, and scale AI internally with rigor on security, quality, and reliability

  • Administer the platform tools (Claude, Notion AI, n8n, Zapier, and more) and bring in new tooling where there are real capability gaps

Cross-functional partnership

  • Run the AI Champion & Leader network across non-technical departments, surfacing wins, clearing blockers, and routing feedback back into the roadmap

  • Sit one-on-one with each department lead to shape their quarterly AI goals and sequence central work to accelerate them

Enablement and culture

  • Run continuous AI upskilling: foundations courses, department-specific deep dives, office hours, internal content, and new-hire onboarding

  • Own the company hackathon, in-team mini-hackathons, and reporting that tracks the impact of what you are shipping

What We're Looking For

  • 4-6 years of applicable experience in AI operations, technical revops/bizops, GTM engineering, forward deployed engineering, sales engineering, product, product ops, software engineering, consulting, or as a founder of an early startup.

  • At least 2 years focused on AI/automation tooling in a fast-moving company

  • Proven track record shipping AI-powered workflows and internal tools end-to-end — not just scoping them; you can point to specific systems you built that are still running in production

  • Hands-on proficiency with the modern AI and automation stack: LLM APIs (Claude, Gemini, Chatgpt), workflow platforms (n8n, Zapier), and no/low-code tooling; you know when to write code and when not to

  • Strong prompt engineering fundamentals — you've built and maintained prompt libraries, evaluated output quality systematically, and know how to move from a working prototype to a reliable production asset
