WSP is currently initiating a search for a Senior Vice President, Transportation Planning Project Manager/Lead for the Oregon and Southwest Washington geography, based in the WSP Portland-OR office. WSP is playing a critical role in the growth and development throughout the state of Oregon and SW Washington, specifically with key public agencies such as the Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT), Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT), cities of Portland and Vancouver, TriMet, and many others.

• Provides technical leadership and project management delivery on key transportation programs and projects.
• Together with Business Line Leaders, drives performance of the Transportation Planning Team and strategically grows our market share to fulfill our goal that WSP become the preferred, trusted advisor to our clients.
• Supports local client coordination and cross-selling efforts in coordination with Local and Region leadership and Pursuit Management.
• Attends civic and industry events, conferences, and forums such as WTS, APA, ACEC, Chamber of Commerce.
• Brings an expanded view and integrated response to complex challenges by leveraging our full suite of offerings across all end markets.
• Leverages strong communication skills and understanding of public agency organizational structures to provide right-sized solutions to multifaceted issues.
• With Business Line Leader support, utilizes our extended reach of technical and subject matter experts (SMEs) across regions, districts, offices and the globe to foster new and innovative client delivery.
• Provides technical leadership and project management delivery on key programs and projects.

Operational Excellence

• Optimizes the client and employee experience through regular reviews while embracing process improvement.

• In collaboration with Business Line Leaders, supports local growth, forecast and business development strategy.
• Resolves conflict and other internal/external issues that may arise between staff, amongst WSP’s client base, or on projects.
• Coordinate with leads and specialists in other business lines and regions (particularly Transportation & Infrastructure) to engage in projects and pursuits and leverage a broader based of staff support. 
• Collaborates with local and regional business leadership to strategically drive the business, assess and suggest improvements for project performance, oversee overhead expenditures, and focus on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):   Sales, Funding, EBITDA, Staff Hiring and Retention, DSO, Utilization, Backlog, Inclusion & Diversity and Guiding Principles.
