Job Description
AECOM is actively seeking a creative, highly talented, and motivated Senior Roadway Engineer for immediate employment for the Cleveland, Ohio office.
This role will provide the opportunity to directly support transformational projects including the Brent Spence Bridge Corridor project. This project is one of the largest highway infrastructure projects in the country and entails design and construction of existing bridge improvements and a new bridge crossing of the Ohio River between Cincinnati and Covington Kentucky, along with 8 miles of significant highway improvements. Design has begun and will extend over the coming years, providing a unique opportunity for multiple career-defining roles on the project. Job Description
• Coordinates and provides technical expertise for mid- large-size projects.
• Leads technical client relationships and plays a major role in selling.
• Leads discipline department efforts to grow technical expertise.
• Leads technical business development work.
• Provides specialized technical input to studies and design for staff's specific area of expertise.
• Approves and signs off on work.
• Leader in one or more areas of technology.
• Provides estimates for the engineering budget and schedule a to meet requirements on large, complex projects.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements :
Bachelor's degree plus 10 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
Preferred Qualifications :
BS in Civil Engineering or related engineering discipline
15+ years of related experience
Licensed Professional Engineer in the state of Ohio or the ability to obtain within 6 months of hire if current PE is out of state
Computer skills using Microsoft office, HCS, Synchro, HISSM, AutoCAD and MicroStation preferred. Strong familiarity with InRoads a plus
Prior experience working on traffic safety design projects preferred
Individuals with related experience in traffic signal design, traffic control, traffic crash analysis, traffic studies, or roadway design will also be considered.
Prior experience working with the Ohio Department of Transportation is a plus
