Job Description
- Accountability for all activities of Solidigm to process and delivery Global payroll preparation/processing and all related responsibilities such as tax reporting, time clock interfacing, and payroll systems maintenance.
- Leadership partner between payroll department, end-to-end process owners, and Information Systems department to ensure payroll staffs understanding and implementations of payroll system requirements and revisions.
- Primary creator and facilitator of documentation and training of system functions and capabilities for the payroll staff in the use of global payroll systems.
- Partner with Total Rewards Leader and Compensation and Benefits leaders, Head of Tax and CHRO around payroll strategy.
- Works closely with payroll staff in identifying needs for system revisions, formulating system requests and recommendations
- Employee and Employer Tax strategies related to legal entity and geographic specific structuring.
- Verifies and evaluates payroll program specifications created by programmers. May provide work direction to programmers for any revisions to streamline processes.
- Lead the team in regional expansion initiatives and provide insight for 3rd party vendor(s) to ensure payroll accuracy and compliance in multiple locations.
- Ensure compliance with International, federal, state and local legal requirements. Remain current on new legislation and regulatory rulings impacting payroll.
- Review and analyze current payroll, benefits and tax procedures in order to recommend and implement required legislative changes.
- Manage 3rd party tax administration service provider to ensure timely and accurate tax filings, regular tax remittance, and resolution of tax related issues (including notices and amendments).
- Provide notifications to sites of any pertinent taxation changes or updates.
- Manage the quarterly and year end payroll processes, including partnership with Accounting.
- Define, implement, and manage payroll administration policies and procedures. This includes maintaining and applying current internal control standards to ensure regulatory compliance.
- Maintain full working knowledge of garnishment processing and compliance.
- Lead, develop and manage a global team of managers and analysts
- Merger and Acquisition/Divestiture payroll leadership
Additional Information
Under general direction from the Vice President and Treasurer, this Director will provide the vision, leadership, and management over all end-to-end processes relative to delivery of Global payrolls and associated tax services. The Global Payroll Director leads all initiatives necessary to accomplish the organization’s payroll objectives, including relationships with external auditors and country, state, and federal agencies. In addition, this position serves as the primary leadership partner regarding substantial programs such as Merit Increases, Incentive Income, discretionary programs, merger and acquisition strategy, legal entity restructuring, etc. This position
